Why be normal?

A little while back I was sent a gift from Naxos Loon of a wonderful bunny that I instantly fell in love with. It was from the Naho’s Funny Shop =kuri*gohan= located at secondlife://Kaneohe/142/203/22.

This store has so many unusual items, as you can see below that any avatar could use in their inventory. And with Halloween today you are sure to find something to use for a costume or prop. There is a lot of freebies there as well as other reasonably priced items that are hilarious!
Naho' Funny Shop

The first item is my favorite and most popular. It is the bunny that can do various things with your avatar from dragging you by your hair to hanging you upside down. There is another version in which the bunny carries you in the captivity of a cage!

Next is the giant tack which can be used as a weapon too. (I had no one at the time to attack). Carry this above your head and poke some unsuspecting avatar!

Ever been banned from somewhere ?(not that I would have any experience with such a thing) hahahahahahaha! I wear this proudly.

There are also attachments that will certainly turn heads (or take them off) such as the ones here in which I am separated in the middle or the one in which I am carrying my head ; )

Are you planning on visiting any western themed sims soon? If so, I would recommend the “wanted” sign that you can attach to your avatar. You are sure to go unnoticed.

So go grab some fun items at Naho’s and you are sure to be the talk of the sim ; )

Chrispher and He77rayza

I was trekking about on SL doing another hunt (yes, I am addicted to finding those tiny objects hidden in the most precarious places) when I came across these two lovely creatures, chrispher Hoxley and He77rayza Arun. They were in there hunting attire for the Demonology Hunt.

Chrispher said, “When we do the steampunk hunt, we dress appropriate :)”. Continuing with the conversation I informed chrispher that I am a skin addict and asked if it was difficult for men to find unique skins. Chrispher referred me to “Fallen Gods”, where they have a great variety of men’s and women’s fae, elven, fantasy, goth and other themed skins. http://world.secondlife.com/place/5e92c0d2-b75e-ff66-36c7-183fd4e9f2e3

Rayza had me with the demon avatar. The tongue is awesome and he informed me that it also comes in black as well and can “….interestingly used in rp” (hehehehehe). Rayza also enjoys changing his avatar frequently, “yes I have a basic guy, but new ones everyday based on what I’ve hunted or midnitmaniaced or bought”.

I would also like to congratulate these two as they are getting married in SL in October!

Secret Addiction

So RayRay and I got into a discussion last night that lead to this latest blog post. It began with our confessions of how we love CARBS. I have been told many times how the carbs go straight to you behind (I have personal proof). But let me tell you, I am not one to be around if I do not have them. SL has given me the ability to have my carbs and not be accountable for them!

RayRay and I found so fabulous carbs lovers clothing, such as the tanks that we are wearing that are from Gumdrop. The caption under the cupcake says “I dropted my cupcake” and comes in a pack of two in pink and yellow. I then found my t-shirt “We’re toast”, designed by Neko Erin. Bread is my carbs of choice as it is RayRay’s. She prefers a nice loaf of french bread. I will eat any kind.

I can only swing and try to not drop my choco corne.

As for the pastries, you can get your own carbalicious and delicious delights and Hanuta. They have baguettes, toast (with a lovely heart), choco cornes, hotcake chairs and many more tasty items!

RayRay can do two things at once - swing and eat her eclair!

I am off now to eat a loaf of bread and let it all go to my proud booty : )

I love my bread : )

First ever God of Uniqueness!

Pasta Mann

Pasta Mann

Our first ever “God of Uniqueness” for the blog is no other than Pasta Mann the alien. I really cannot say much about Pasta. He is unique and always keeps us laughing : ) He loves Sci-fi (can you tell by his avatar?) and intellectual conversation. If you asked him why an Alien as his avatar, he would most likely respond “Why not”.

HAPPY REZ DAY RayRay!

I want to wish a HAPPY FIRST REZ DAY to the fabulous RayRay! You are truly a wonderful friend!!!!!

❤ you,
Scilina

Time travel to “Timeless Curiosities”

I found an amazing store that I have come across for unusual items, “Timeless Curiosities” located in the region of Vicina (112, 50, 30). I was fortunate to have interviewed Parrish Ashbourne, the creator, and tour his shop.http://slurl.com/secondlife/Vicina/108/64/29

“I started to build strange things for pretty much the same reason. I’m pretty much the same way in rl – can’t stand all their so called normal trends”, Parrish commented as we began the interview.

What are your inspirations for your creations?
Parrish Ashbourne: “I first got started building hair. The one with white borders are the original ones I first made much for the same reason you started your blog. I’ve been reading William Gibson since he came out with Neuromancer. I’ve been waiting for Virtual Reality ever since. I use to be into the game “Cyberpunk 2020” too. That was a big influence as well.”

Parrish commented on some of his awesome creations of mohawks that he has created and stated, “One of my older shops had a hair surgery room. I figured most my hair looked like you need a drill to attach it, lol! I even made some pain killer effects to give people”.

Parrish was so generous during this interview and bestowed onto me one of his creations the Aquarium Top Hat!

As for his store, Parrish was into Goth music – inspired by club in SL Steamworks. This inspired his steam punk inventions. He had gone over night from cyber punk hair to steam punk. Some of his other creations include his air ships and aether gates.

He used time travel to explain the store and how things are collected from the past and the future. The ship on the second floor was originally outside of the store – now it is designed with and electrical field above to travel through time. It is a wonderful mix of creativity that makes you feel as if you have traveled in time to another dimension. It is not only a store but a museum as well.

As you browse his creations you will notice an electrical theme. My first thought was of a movie that I had watched recently, “The Prestige”. No sooner was I about to comment on this when Parrish stated that the movie was his influence to create these electrical gadgets. Nikola Tesla was the inventor of the radio and did many studies in electromagnetism. In the movie he is portrayed by non other than David Bowie : )

Parrish created the aether gate as a challenge to make steam punk RP’s feel as if they are time traveling to his store. Another one of his items (which is my favorite is the aether mirror. You need to go to the store to see how amazing this is. As you stand on one side and look through, you appear invisible! “I use aether to explain what an invisible prim in Second Life is normally. If you are a vampire avatar, this is a must have item!
